Architectural powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing dry powder which is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a skin. Once cooled, the powder is set and forms a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. By powder coating things like your aluminium windows, you’ll be preserving them giving them a longer life.

In order to achieve maximum protection from powder coating, a good surface pre-treatment is essential. Pre-treatments are used to remove oil, lubricating greases, soil and various other impurities. It can be done via a variety of chemical and mechanical methods, and the selection of the method will depend on the size and material of the product to be powder coated.

The majority of products that are powder coated by Aluminium Bending Specialists Ltd are our own aluminium round windows and/or shaped aluminium windows.

All aluminium sections/products can be finished in a wide range of RAL Colours or BS Colours and we also offer a paint matching service to meet your individual or corporate requirements.  We can also offer to paint the sections in dual colour if required.

We create all of our bespoke products with quality in mind. So we more than double the industrial standard of architectural powder coating thickness. Curing a covering of 60 microns thick, as a minimum gives your windows a versatility that you can’t achieve with paint.
